Kieran’s experience in the commercial wedding industry inspired him to take a simpler path with Super 8 film: tactile, dreamy and just enough. An artist, poet, lyricist and musician, his eye for beauty and feel for storytelling makes all the difference.

Joyride Weddings

My name is Josh. I live on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, and I have been working as a full time wedding videographer for 14 years. Since the birth of Joyride, I have filmed weddings all over Australia and have traveled to destinations such as Italy, France, Greece, Thailand, America, New Zealand & Indonesia.

I aim to be unobtrusive in my approach. In my experience blending into the background, allows me to capture the day authentically, and produces the best results in my opinion.

Love is a story worth telling. That’s why we are film makers and have been for over 12 years now. When we began, we wanted to bring a new angle to wedding film making, we wanted to make art and tell the story in a new way. Stories, in general, are something we are very drawn to and we believe film making is the most immersive and emotive way you can tell them. We love our home in Newcastle Australia but we also love travelling the seven seas to film around the world. It keeps us freshly inspired.
