Ben Adams
Hey, Ben here! Thanks for swinging by and welcome to my world.
I’ve been photographing couples in love for almost 18 years now. In that time, I’ve learned to appreciate the unique bond that exists between two free spirited humans and I feel honoured to be the one telling their story. When I don’t have my Hunter Valley Wedding Photographer cap on, I’m a pretty relaxed family man. I enjoy spending my time painting in the studio, riding waves, feeding my kids’ (X3) sense of adventure and whipping up Woodfire Pizzas.
I’m also lucky enough to travel the world a few times a year, working as a Humanitarian Photographer for NGO's. It feels really rewarding being able to use my skills to help people who need support. I also relish in exploring new places and immersing myself in different cultures. It’s given me some great perspective and I know I can offer couples more because of the gratitude I have for day to day existence.

I fell into wedding photography not ever really expecting that taking photos could be more than just a hobby. Ten years down the track and I'm still pinching myself that I found a job that means so much to me.
Growing up in the small coastal town of Thirroul, I found my initial passion in photography capturing the moods of the ocean and surrounding landscapes.
A chance encounter with a wedding photographer at a restaurant opened me up to a new world, leading me down an unexpected yet fulfilling path. The transition from ocean and landscape photography to weddings was not merely a change of scenery; it was a transformation that allowed me to channel my creativity and connection into a celebration of love and commitment.
I love using what I learned from shooting landscapes and translating that into weddings, with the interplay of people and places.

I believe my approach to wedding photography is quite relaxed, emphasising documenting the day in an authentic, unobtrusive way—natural, candid imagery that showcases the true personalities of my couples and the love they share.
I have an organised & professional approach to photographing the formalities of a wedding day. Meeting with my couples' beforehand to properly plan out a timeline and communicate what they want from their day to ensure it runs seamlessly.
I am continually expanding my skill set, adopting new techniques & ways of shooting weddings, creating classic, timeless images that you will love, with a mix of unique, creative shots.
